Russell is an Award winning ICT Evangelist, Entrepreneur, Author & Inventor
Using live demonstrations, Russell looks at new and existing technologies and suggests new ways that colleagues can take advantage of these in their subject teaching. Russell also provides strategic ICT thinking to a number of key UK education players. He is involved in several action based research projects and is passionate about educational ICT. Russell also produces training resources for teaching colleagues that are sold under the RPC Training Ltd brand.
Russell will be featuring in his keynote, amongst other products, his latest invention designed to motivate reluctant writers. The cre8txt keyboard is based on the key layout of a mobile phone and so embraces the text skills that young people have developed themselves. Russell will also be showing how he has used SecondLife to setup an office and training room that can serve customers 24 hours a day and how colleagues may like to experiment with this virtual world.
As Russell’s presentations always consist of large amounts of video and live demonstration, these do not print easily. Russell will be publishing all of the material that he uses on his website. This will also include audio files.
